Fia was born with flawless instincts. Her first impulse, her gut feeling, is always exactly right. Her sister, Annie, is blind to the world around her—except when her mind is gripped by strange visions of the future.

Trapped in a school that uses girls with extraordinary powers as tools for corporate espionage, Annie and Fia are forced to choose over and over between using their abilities in twisted, unthinkable ways…or risking each other’s lives by refusing to obey.

Kiersten White is an amazing author!  Not only can she write an entire novel in nine days, but she can also write an entire kick-ass novel in 237 pages.

I had absolutely no hesitation jumping into Mind Games having read Kiersten’s Paranormalcy series, and I was not disappointed!  This story is told from the unique points of view of two sisters, Fia and Annie, who are both girls with exceptional abilities, and alternates between present day situations and childhood flashbacks.

This book jumped straight into the plot from the first page and never stopped, and I was immersed in the world of backstabbing and underhanded espionage the whole book.  Fia and Annie’s world was really thrilling to see and the ending was very heart wrenching.

Fia is a true Femme Fatale, a ruthless murderer, a manipulator, but really she is the one manipulated to be that way.  She’d do anything for Annie, and some people count on that to take advantage of her.

The ending was sort of predictable to me because of Annie’s vision, but it was a true ending, one the entire book was leading to.  All I can say is I can’t wait for Book 2 see how Fia destroys Keane.

  1. I really need to read this one. I love that the book grabbed your attention from the beginning and love how Fia sounds! Awesome review, Ryan! 🙂
